Why this setup?
The J2CR starts with such a low swing weight that there’s plenty of room to add weight without making it sluggish. The strike zone strips create a meaningful jump in stability and power while specifically reinforcing the area where contact happens most often. After initially testing only the strike zone setup, I added weight to the bottom corners because the paddle still felt like it needed a little more mass behind the ball on drives and thirds. That lower placement helped the paddle carry through contact better and reduced some of the “getting pushed around” feeling while still preserving the paddle’s fast nature.
