Why this setup?

My paddle came in with a swing weight of 114, which is on the heavier side for a hybrid, but it also had a higher twist weight. Because of that, I didn't feel it needed any additional plow-through or stability. However, it felt a bit clunky on flicks and other wrist-driven shots, so I added a 6-gram Cap Coin to lower the balance point and alleviate that, and that did the trick. If your paddle comes in lighter than the 8.2 oz static weight of my test paddle, you could also add a gram or two in the strike zone to achieve a setup similar to the one shown here.
