Why this setup?

The Spitfire starts with a light static weight and moderate swing weight, but its unusually high balance point makes it move more like a typical elongated paddle than the numbers suggest. Because the static weight is so low to begin with, we have room to add weight to the throat and sides to improve twist weight, stability, and the sweet spot while still keeping the overall weight below average. That added weight does bump the swing weight and would normally slow the paddle down some. To offset that, we add a Cap Coin at the bottom of the handle, which pulls the unusually high balance point down. The result is a paddle that feels about as fast and maneuverable as it did stock, but with noticeably better stability and forgiveness. The Spitfire already moved well through the ball and carried its weight effectively at contact, and this setup preserves that. We’re essentially redistributing the weight to get a better-balanced paddle with a stronger sweet spot without giving up the speed and plow-through that worked well in the stock setup.
